A Damned Nation

A decline in the sanity of society.

We are a free country but allow to many free acts to hurt others. I have no issue with the freedom of our country simply the honor system we have implemented with its citizens. We say ” this will happen if you cross this line, please don’t cross the line.” Then, we get bent out of shape when hundreds of people cross that very same line everyday. Would we trust our own children with a system like that and truly believe that they would follow it. What makes us think that it work for corrupted adults. I’d laugh at such a notion if it didn’t make me cry.

No child left behind is a joke and it lowers the bar our children should strive to reach. Here is an act we should think about making.  Parents and teachers owe a thousand dollars every year one of their children has to repeat, we can call it “The repeater depletion act” It’s catchy… I like it. It would definately get a fire burning under the butts of those responsible for child education.

My point being, that we claim to be a society and by the definition given on dictionary.com “a highly structured system of human organization for large-scale community living that normally furnishes protection, continuity, security, and a national identity for its members.” We are very rapidly failing to meet these minute qualifications. Our children are the future of this country that doesn’t mean that we can’t help to reform the sanity of society for them. Before we were soldiers, we were politicans. Before we were a domiant force, we were revolutionaries. Before we were Americans, we were a society. And before that… we were nothing.

promising first article. I don’t entirely agree with everything you say here, but I think your conclusion is very interesting, should get a few cogs turning.

Interesting to say the least. I applaude your voice, and even though I may not agree with all that you are saying, “I will defend to the death your right to say it”….
