Always There
Sad in New York, and wishing I had taken the time to appreciate all she had to offer!
Always There
We meet online, I was advertising pet sitting and she needed a cat sitter; it worked out perfectly, and over time we became friends. She was very friendly and inspiring, to the point it was always scary because she reminded me a lot of myself. She connected with the earth, she was holistic using herbs and spices to heal different medically illnesses. What was so great about her though was she knew where to draw the line and seek traditionally medical care when she needed to. I have known her now for approximately nine months; and I took it for granted she would always be here, and over time we would grow closer. Conversations with her totally re-energized me when I was feel down’, she provided me with positive energy, we together believe in meditation and relaxation, we all believe in faith and ghost; I was totally excited about meeting someone who totally understood the things I felt. She is a totally awesome woman, and I miss her! I took it for granted that she would continue to live close to me; until she announced she was leaving New York and returning to Canada.

There was so much to talk about, to learn from her and now that closeness would be lost, while we can still writing to one another, and perhaps chat online and of course call one another a few times a year, it is just not the same. I am grateful for the positive impression she made in my life, and I will continue the friendship through the miles, but not being able to sit and talk, to kiss hello and hug good-bye is very sad for me. I do realize it could be worse, she could be completely out of my life, but I have no intention of letting that happen. I hope in the future to be able to travel to Canada, but for now I will keep in contact with this wonderful woman that I thought would just “always be there”.

I feel sorry for you because my best friend whom I have known for over forty years has also moved to Canada. I still see her on Skype though. A great tribute to your friend.
