America’s Terrible Culture of Failure Prevents Needed National Failure
Discussion of the harmful consequences of not permitting true failure to exist.
And, in an interestingly parallel and properly analogous way, children, being thought of as just innocent and extremely vulnerable creatures, are thought to be too small to fail. Failure, in ultimate terms of reference, means that an exercise of free will had, somehow or other, occurred; but, the aggressive social relativists insist always that people are subject to different determinisms; they are, e. g., socially, biologically, environmentally, etc. without any real free will, so culpability, failure, guilt, or shame are merely atavistic or anachronistic terms signifying pure personal prejudices or bigotry not in tune with modernist or postmodernist vibrations; it is a reified sort of a completely secularized and skewed version of Lutheranism gone mad.
At both weird ends of a disturbing spectrum, therefore, whether big or small (or anywhere in between, if truth be told), failure is then supposed not be to ever empirically tolerated as a normal part of human reality in this country; so, perhaps, society is genuinely worried lest, e.g., Big Business, Big Government, or Big Labor feels a great loss of requisite and appropriate self-esteem; they are all thought to be too big to truly ever fail.
But, when no actual opportunity for failure is legitimately allowed to exist and persist, there can be closed off the positive possibility or opportunity for genuine and positive success; moreover, success itself can get irrationally punished, as when adults have decided, e. g., that no scores will be kept for the (formerly) competitive games that children might play, e.g., baseball, football, etc. The losing team, meaning the losing children, would, thus, unfortunately experience a terrible diminution, sad reduction, of their self-esteem, so indications of failure are not to be at all tolerated; this is for securing, as was well noted above, the supposed higher good in mind.
In the economic realm of activity, as a parallel example, success is insanely, wrongly, punished when profitable industries or economic sectors are taxed for the sake of subsidizing, through mounting bailouts, those corporations or sectors that do fail, even if they repeatedly fail. So, failure itself gets transmuted into a perverse means or kind of strange and perverse “success” in contemporary America, as a direct result of the Fabian-Socialist policies and programs of the Leftist interventionists (AKA Obama and his supporters in government).
There’s just one greatly sad thing about this pervasive and pandemic culture of failure; it eventually must produce, as it has, a notably failed culture: Abortion-on-demand exists as a constitutionally- protected right no less; pornography increasingly saturates the media and internet wildly; sodomy is celebrated as an extension of simple civil rights for glorified sodomites; relativistic morality is made the standard for a nominalistic nonjudgmentalism parading as a true kind of New Age religion in disguise.
Artificial contraception and divorce are just easily seen as completely normal and rational life choices; militant atheism, or at least its equivalent, now generally dominates the vast majority of the elites, journalists, intellectuals, and academics; what had once been just a kind of tolerance for some extreme abnormality is now the quite active, aggressive promotion and energetic defense of nihilism; basic hedonism is found acceptable to many people as a truly life-affirming cultural attitude deserving of serious moral respect; etc. Need more be redundantly said?
The observed Culture of Death, therefore, quite neatly and, thus, logically complements the culture of failure. American society and its degenerate culture, meaning today’s mainstream society and culture, functionally, however, needs to systematically and integrally fail because it is so vilely degenerate; but, the culture of failure seems, at this time, to so ensure that such requisite malfunction will be delayed almost indefinitely; this is until the secularist-anthropocentric orientation, the currently dominant ethos, is (if ever) ethically, morally, and spiritually replaced by a profoundly theocentric one within the hearts and minds of the vast majority of the people.
Until then, only the much hated, scorned, and marginalized subcultures as true and defiant countercultures, such as, for instance, the Roman Catholic Latin Mass community, can then provide both a viable and competently rational alternative to the, thus, increasingly enormous debauchery, decadence, decline, depravity, and degeneracy by which they, the orthodox, traditionalist Catholics, are vilely surrounded on a daily basis. For now, the failed American culture perpetuates the culture of failure, as has been unfortunately noted.

The main point: When will the majority of the American people stop promoting the Culture of Death? When they do worship the God that does not fail.
