America’s Possible Future
An insight into how our congress and corporations are interlinked.
Here we are looking into the future with fog in our eyes because of the decisions made in the recent past by our elected officials. The apparent non-regulation by the regulating authorities who were supposed to monitor our financial and capital markets.
Should the current representatives and senators now serving the ‘People’ actually do their jobs properly then we may actually have an ongoing chance to see without foggy lenses and get back to the ‘Peoples’ work. The new administration has rewritten some of the regulatory language to reflect some of the peoples wishes on regulation of Wall Street and banks but is it enough? As this is being written more changes are being made and need to be made in order to build a better trust with the people who buy the products produced and have financial needs with these companies and corporations.
American made products have to be allowed to be developed and manufactured with the least government involvement possible. America produces quality products with men and women who work for these corporations and companies. Will our government allow the companies and corporations to continue down this dark path enriching only the corporate big wigs or will they actually step in and level the field? Only time will tell on this front.
As time goes by, we watch our elected officials in congress portray they are for the people they represent but find that they are all involved with the very same people they are supposed to regulate. This practice is most appalling as we find just how involved they really are. Some of the most well known senators and representatives have now been named in just how involved they were when they had claimed to work for the people. However, even this is not enough to prompt any substantial investigation into their practices and involvement. Is America going down this dark path willingly? Are our elected officials ever going to let the people they work for know the truth about some of these troubling ties? Will anything ever be done to repair or fix this kind of problem or situation? All of us need answers to these troubling questions with real effort put into the fix and not just to report these things.
The American enterprise system is an ever changing system that attempts to both regulate and stimulate our economy. We must find the courage to let our elected officials know that they work for the people and not just their pay checks when they speak and spend our money. We the people elect these senators and representatives to office to do our business and not to enrich themselves doing so. We find that this is not the case in most instances by simply watching them on the floor of congress railing against this and that and never coming forward with any type of solution except to raise more money for their political enterprises.
