Anna- ALL of Indians ARE Basically Corrupt in Nature

            The title of the article itself must have startled itself, but as everything in the world have different views so is this. All the people, politicians, media, intelligentsia has supported Anna Hazare’s movement blindly because nobody can dare to oppose this sensitive issue. Very little opposition had come from some politicians- against some individuals in the movement but not against the issue. If I dare to oppose the issue itslf then?

            There are certain basic issues to be considered before proceeding further. Firstly be neutral in assessment, be pragmatic and don’t be preacher but be the performer.Firstly, whatever support Anna Hazare has got for the movement is not totally for anti-corruption movement. It is the mix of projection of media and more importantly the anti-politicians sentiment of general population of India. Every Tom and Harry in  India is expert in cricket and politics. You will always find the loose and sweeping remarks regarding any cricketer’s shot selection or leisure of political community. There is some truth in that but a sweeping comment against all the functions of politicians is unjustified. Recent exposure of corruptions and scams has really given the spark to Anna Hazare”s movement.So first point is that in reality it was not a mass movement exactly focused on corruption but was the public outburst against the politicians in general. Secondly, lacs of supporters of anti-corruption movement had come in support of Lokpal. But did they really know in detail – what Lokpal is? Will mere existence of Lokpal in the system will ensure the fool-proof non-corrupt political system? Unfortunately, the answer is no and the people are not fully ware about that. Thirdly, whatever lacs of supporters gathered had sentiments running high against politicians and their corrupt deeds. I  seek a very honest answer from all of you on one aspect. These supporters included clerks, teachers, bureaucrats and all the sections of society, can everybody put a hand on their heart and say I have not done a corrupt practice ever in my life. Aren’t we happily give fifty rupees as a bribe to traffic policemen instead of a five hundred rupees chalan through legal means? Aren’t we happily give one hundred rupees bribe to a clerk in Govt office to get Nationality certificate early? We are COMMON MAN and being common we do all these common things and commonly make very common loose statements against the political class. Almost all the supporters of Anna’s movement in Jantar Mantar had done the corrupt practices knowingly or unknowingly in their life-time , so how one can support the thing against which everyone of us has worked? The basic thing which I expect is not the Jantar Mantar drama but everybody should act responsibly and most important you act in a honest manner, that is more than sufficient. This behaviour by everybody of us will make the acting commando force of India against corruption of 115 crores strength.So my second point was it is the non-corrupt action through your act and not the slogans matters the most in fight against corruption. Thirdly, our system itself allows discriminatory and preferential treatment to people who have money. Let me explain it. What is tatkal system in reservation? If you have money , you will jump the line and will get the desired reservation- only thing required is additional money. Same is true about tatkal passport system. You give  extra money and you will get preferrential treatment at your doorstep. Hasn’t we legalised the corruption? Aren’t we basically corrupt in nature by accepting and following these things? Why only a babu caught on camera accepting a fifty rupee note as a bribe and all other who are not caught or not exposed are holy cows? So my third point was our legal system only accepts corruption but in a systematic and sophisticated label.
