Brazil Golden Triangle

About Brazil.

Brazil’s Golden Triangle is the most economic part of Brazil. Brazil’s golden triangle lies in the south-east, where the country is most populated. The landscape is mainly mad up of highlands with steep slopes into the sea. The golden triangle is the richest part of Brazil because it has the most important industries set there. The golden Triangle consists of Brazil’s three main cities, (hence the tri); Belo Horizonte at the top, Rio de Janeiro bottom right and Sao Paulo bottom left.

The climate in these parts are far from desirable, inland has much more to offer in the way of comforting weather and landscape so why is it hear Brazil is most populated?

Around this area in the golden triangle commercial farming and the most industry is located. For Brazil in general the triangle has helped the countries economy greatly the area gets great profits from coffee bean plantations. Although all this reflects to great disadvantages.

Only the rich and qualified citizens get beneficial money from factories, most workers are poorly paid; this may be of the advantage of foreigners. An American Ford car company sets up a factory in Sao Paulo Brazil for economic advantages as they take advantage of the labour costs. They pay far less for people to work in a developing country such as Brazil than in the USA, this exposure of taking advantage is called distortion. This also means that most profits leave Brazil.

Cars and factories pollute the air. River, lakes and the seas are also polluted as well. The Amazon is cut down as well as other wild life areas, threatening animals and plants.

People come into the cities causing congestion. Also as more people come to the area to find work the unemployment rate just keeps going up as there are not enough jobs to go around. This results in lots of people living in poor housing with no water, electricity or proper sanitation.

The benefits of the golden triangle are all to do with the economy, the triangle greatly boosts it.

The most popular industries in the triangle are; food processing, producing leather goods, textiles, clothes and paper also steel, chemical, shipbuilding, aircraft and car industries.
