Cabot Circus is Bristol’s new £500 Million shopping center. The centre boasts an exciting array of shops from designer to electronics. It also has a wide variety of cafes and restaurants, with a Cinema De Lux and Adventure Golf. All of these offer different opening hours.
The majority of shops in Cabot Circus are open Monday to Saturday, 10am – 8pm and 11am – 5pm on Sundays. However, different shops may open earlier or later, depending on their preference, available staff and stock. Some shops may even offer browsing time, 30 minutes or more before they open, allowing customers to walk around and browse stock, without allowing them to purchase anything. For Bank Holidays, they are open 10am – 6pm. The best time for shopping, is to get there for when they open. The mornings will often be quiet, especially when there is bad weather. Getting there for when the shops open, allows you to browse fairly unhindered by other members of the public.
The majority of restaurants and cafes have unique opening times. Most restaurants will open around lunch time and may close around 2pm – 3pm and then not open again until the evening around 6pm – 7pm. Some restaurants may offer breakfast so they will be open in the morning and through out the day. The cafes are open in the morning for breakfast and then remain open until around 6pm in the evening. They tend to not stay open in the evening as they cannot compete with the restaurants for customers. For breakfasts, it is possible to eat in any of the cafes and restaurants with very little problem. The majority of people eating in will be in and out in no time, meaning that there is nearly always a seat available. It is advised to have either an early or late lunch, avoiding the rush from 12am – 2pm. Arriving before or after this period will allow you to get a seat and enjoy a fairly quiet lunch. Evening is the busiest time for the restaurants. They can often be fully booked, with people queuing for seats. It is advisable to either book seats before arriving, or to not have your heart set on a particular restaurant and to just take what you can. This can however, be great and lead you to try new places and new food and perhaps discover a new favourite place to eat.
The Showcase Cinema De Lux is open until the early hours of the morning through out the week. Sunday to Thursday it’s open 10am – 1am, and Friday to Saturday it’s open 10am – 3am. The late night showings are usually the best time to go, from 10pm onwards. Even later showings will often mean you will have the screening to yourself which can be highly enjoyable in a group of friends.
