Confidence is The Goal
If we lack confidence in our abilities, we begin to fear that the whole universe is against us.
There is no doubt that malice, back stabbing, juvenile thought process, coarse language, selfishness, greed for power –these evils have to be avoided if we intend to get prosperity and happiness in life. The truth is that we should treat people in such a way that if you die they will weep over you, alive they crave for your company.
We should spare some of our precious time to build and rebuild relationships. It is better to make tightly-knit groups. When we know and care for one another, we won’t let down our colleagues, friends and family members. Steve Jobs has wisely remarked: “You can’t connect the dots looking forward you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something: your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well worn path.”
If we lack confidence in our abilities, we begin to fear that the whole universe is against us. We can boost our confidence by following these tips:
- We should have genuine interest in what we care about. For example, if you write for Triond, you should have a deepening belief that you are really interested in what you are writing.
- We can recharge our emotional batteries by making ourself useful.
- Expand your activities slowly.
- We can add to our confidence by losing ourself for a while. Take naps, walk, meditate or read.
- We should remember that prolonged isolation saps energy.
- We should always try to find other outlets and interests to pour out our energy.
“In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength” (Isaiah XXX, 10).
The following inspirational lines aptly instruct us to enhance our confidence:
Only as high as I reach can I grow,
Only as far as I seek can I go,
Only as deep as I look can I see,
Only as much as I dream can I be.
~Karen Ravn

Great, thoughtful article! I especially liked when you say that we should spare some of our precious time to build and rebuild relatonships. It´s what I´m doing all the time. I don´t believe that people are so busy that can´t spare some time to talk over a cuppa or a drink and to have a chat. I´ll definitely share to some of my friends who are always way too busy to meet. Thanks for sharing.

Inspiring article . Thank you. Children gain confidence if the parents do not continually put them down and being heard by the adults in their lives is important to gaining self confidence. As Edmund Burke , an Irish philosopher and statesman once said “example is the school of mankind and they shall learn at no other”

What you write is so true. I am one of those people that lack confidence, even when I know I am good at something. I think this is the cause for many of the things that have gone wrong in my life.
