Democrat Defeats Republican Candidate in NY!
It has been years since a Democrat won in the 26th District of New York.
In the state of New York, in the 26th District, Kathy Hochul, a Democrat defeated the Republican candidate, in a special election. It has been many years reportedly since a Democrat has won in a district that is reported to be one of the most conservative, Republican districts in the state of New York.
Many say the special election was a possible referendum on the Medicare issue, where the House of Representative Republicans all voted, except for four to pass the Paul Ryan budget, which changes the way Medicare is run. The Republican, Ms Corwin said she supported the budget. Her poll numbers started to plummet and over the week end, Ms Corwin reversed herself and said that she was not married to the Paul Ryan budget plan. But too late it might have been. Because tonight, the Democrat beat the GOP candidate and the Independent candidate, to take her seat in the House. But wait, the GOP went to court to block the certification of the election. Aanticipation, and sore losers. You think?
