Double Standards and Community Confidence
In public, coping with double standards can be one of the biggest problems. Many people don’t know how to manage with a situation that has arisen and a lot of people haven’t got the confidence to speak-up for fear that a problem could arise leading to confrontation. People living in the community and care often come across many of the prior problems, especially when disagreements and arguments arise.
Independence, attitudes and authority
The public’s attitude to situations that need independence or capable people, are usually questioned or apposed when the person or persons inquiring after them don’t quite fit the bill, compared to basic expectations. There are a range of reasons that somebody can be thought of as inappropriate or incapable for a position, including age, category classing and respect both shown and given by different people. These can often be misconstrued in a lot of valid cases because others just don’t want to either see or believe that a person could be thought of as able to cope in a situation on there own, if they have a difference of sorts most people are usually classed, making situations become more difficult to cope with. Often because of the prejudice or lack of experience they have to overcome, all this because a person is thought not to fit the traditional stereo type.
Character, confidence and capability
Whatever sort of change to everyday excepted appearances, characters or abilities thought appropriate or fitting for certain lifestyles, people are always ready to judge others just on face value alone and the majority do so. There are so many competent people in situations that others choose to ignore for various selfish reasons of their own, that have an effect on the people they think inappropriate, but mainly surrounding others more so. There are a lot of cases or circumstances which arise that the person thought different or inappropriate isn’t the one finding life any harder or difficult than usual, that’s not to say it isn’t, just that everyone’s vulnerable. The majority of people take the attitude that if somebody appears or comes across as unacceptable when they attempt to accomplish something, they must be! All I can say to that is never judge a book by its cover. A lot of people have to cope with various situations and don’t get the chance to, because of a lack of information or confidence and whether they get the chance to acquire or build them.
