About the decline of the American family.

“We are the showcase of the future. And it is within our power to mold that future—this year and for decades to come. It can be as grand and as great as we make it…No crisis is beyond the capacity of our people to solve;no challenge too great”. These were the words of Ronald Reagan, the fortieth President of the United States of America. I believe if he were alive today, He would be disappointed in the direction we are going. He believed that the family stood at the center of society, and without the family, our very existence is threatened.

I myself strongly believe in the family. We each begin our lives and end our end our lives in the family. I believe nothing counts for more in our nation, society, state or personal lives than the well-being of the family. Our values are injected into us at an early age and with those values we grow up to be mature and responsible adults. Without values we have no direction, and without direction there is no future that we can leave to our children to carry on.

We can protest in the streets when we don’t agree with someone Else’s belief. We would rather take away someones right to pray at a football game than to say no to the unraveling of our country. Nonetheless. we as a society have forgotten what the family means today. In the beginning, God created them male and female, therefore a man shall leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife. This is the original plan set forth by our creator for the procreation of the human race. There are those who are determined to conspire against the natural family and to see its extinction.

What has happened to the American family. We tend to put our own selfish needs first and whatever feels good, just do it. When did it become acceptable for men to lay with a woman and for her to conceive then to just walk off as if he had no responsibility in the matter. If your man enough to father a child, then be man enough to raise that child. In the early twentieth century, President Theodore Roosevelt understood the importance of the mother in the family. It was their self- sacrificing commitment to rearing and educating their children that Roosevelt called “the bravest of soldiers” calling them true heroes.

We understand that only healthy families–families in which husband and wife, parent and child support and help for one another—can form the basis of a strong and developing nation. I believe that only by strengthening the family we can achieve this. Only strong families will allow the country to grow and develop. Only strong families can ensure even the survival of the United Sates as a nation.

Very true….not sure why many do not realize the impact division has on the world as a whole.
