Foreign Colonies in India

There are lot of Koreans are residing in India,out of them mostly Koreans are living in Chennai, and those colonies in Chennai are called as Little Korea and Korea pet.

Total Indians in foreign countries are approximately 30 millions, further total foreigners in India? But Indian Government  says that the number of foreigners in India is  less than 30 millions according to their calculations, it is wonder to the foreigners, that India will appear just like the mix of different countries, Indians  does not see them as  foreigners, they  see them as people of other states,  that is the greatness of India  said by the foreigners, so let us visit one of their colony at Chennai ,Tamilnadu, India.

Korea pet in Chennai: It is known factor that lot of Koreans are in India, there are more than 20 thousand Koreans living in India, but most of the Koreans are from South Korea, Korean population was increased in India after 1990. the Multinational companies like Samsung ,Elgi and Hyundai are established in India, so more Koreans are working in these Korean  companies and these workers are settled in India, the others are working in missionaries, some Korean  are studying in our Indian  Universities.

Initially most of the Koreans are settled at Chennai, in 1995 Hyundai company was established in Chennai, there are more than hundred Korean companies are in Chennai, most of the Koreans are living in Kilpauk area , people are  called Kilpauk as little Korea, and they called Alwarpet as Korea Pet, more than 3000 Koreans are settled in Chennai, there are 5 Korean Restaurants in Chennai, surprisingly  amma(mother) , appa father these Tamil words are resembling with Korean  amma and appa. In Chennai  TVS and Hyundai established cultural  company, the  company establishing relations in Korean people and Indian people, some Korean ladies are visiting Chennai and Bangalore for  learning Yoga.

There are more than 3 Thousand  Koreans are in Delhi and 10 Thousand Koreans are in Bangalore. Churches, coffee shops, restaurants are there  for these Koreans, most of the Korean are meet at these Churches, coffee shops and restaurants. In Pune more than 200 Korean are living , they meet at Church on Sundays, there Korean are pray in Korean Language. After the prayer  on Sunday , a separate flight  will carry  food from Korea for these Koreans.  “Aurirang TV” a Korean TV channel  is there for Koreans. Korean association in India is publishing a magazine with an Indian name as “Namasthe India” ,that is the Koreans in India
