From Sunshine to Shady State

California was once the state everyone wanted to live in, now most people wants to leave. From Citrus groves and beach goers to concrete cities and beach woes. I ask why and how did California fall from grace?

One of the prettiest states in America, great weather conditions all year round and a great tourist attraction has become way over run with people both legal and non-legal. Los Angeles once known as the “City of Angels” can be called the City of Lost Angels now with the amount of people living together like sardines in most of the city and its surrounding areas. San Francisco is more concerned about harboring murdering illegal aliens and saving rats then the actual care of its people working and living there and raising children. Both once beautiful and flourishing in tourist attractions, now over crowded and declining in financial income potential because its leaders either don’t see their potential or just don’t care anymore.

One would think the government would be more concerned about cleaning up the beaches and pollution levels along the coast from San Francisco through San Diego rather than some mice in the San Francisco Swamp Lands. If the government wants California back on its feet then California has to become attractive to the tourists around the world again.

California has a range of tourist incentive areas of interest if we could only get someone in government positions that will plan things properly. Planning things properly seems to be a big problem for the government as a whole when it comes to America and its people.  The deserts of California has a great deal of beauty and contrasting interests. It seems the California Chamber of Commerce is taking its queue sadly from the governments so called US Chamber of Commerce in that it just doesn’t function as a chamber of commerce was designed to.

The job of any Chamber of Commerce was originally designed to make its area, be it a township, city, state or country appealing to others outside of their areas, thus bringing in tourists (creating money); promoting their businesses encouraging imports and exports not just importing from other places (creating income); taking active interests in their communities and their people as a whole by coming up with creative ways to bring their communities together just for starters. I was part of my local Chamber of Commerce in the early nineteen nineties for two years so I have some first hand knowledge of its duties to its communities. The US Chamber is different only in it is supposed to do the same job for the whole of its country. Unfortunately it doesn’t, it brings in imports but doesn’t promote our merchandise outward to others. It brings in immigrants legal and illegal but does little to insure the income potential of America and her people therefore does little to assist with America creating an income.
