Global Warming
Global warming is a major issue in our life now. Experiencing climate change which not only affect our health and food supply is a scary thought.
This topic has been in my head for the past one month….
and it was really heavily disturbed me this whole week during my visit to few factories which manufacturing medical devices. I think the word “enforcement”, “enforcer” and “standards” play a vital role in this case.
Global warming has been an issue since the last few centuries….environmentalist, geologist, scientists (to be named generally) and other NGOs such as Greenpeace and a bunch others have talked and talked about it for years. And so interestingly that now….politicians and ex-politicians are also talking about it too.
Do we know exactly what is global warming? Most people have a very limited knowledge about it and some have average knowledge and have taken action by:
i. practice recycling the materials made by papers, plastics, glasses and metals
ii. using paperless activities and more computers…(hehehhe….what a joke!!)
iii. using electricity and water wisely
iv. oppose cutting trees and open fire…
and all other stuff which is basic for common people
Global warming is defined as an increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s near-surface air and ocean. According to scientists, they are the result of greenhouse effect which caused by greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases are categorized into 2 which are natural causes and the other is human activities.
In my opinion, the ultimate point of causing global warming was during Industries Revolution back in 18th century in Britain. This was the point of major shift of technological, socioeconomic and cultural conditions…in a summary- brilliant inventions came to place in contributing initial global warming and not forgetting this was the time where world economics growing rapidly (especially in the west), leadership and people skills been developed widely, transportation industries blooming and all other things which came along with it…either good or bad…
