Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State, Nigeria

According to the history of Lagos State, several Governors have been elected or appointed to lead this state popularly called the centre of Excellence. Differs Governor came into this very great position with different motives, visions, choices, decision and purpose. Many came in to steal public fund while very few genuinely worked and people saw the results of their service to this glorious state. There is a role model and an icon that Lagos State has never had an opportunity to elect as a governor like Obama of America and that is in the person of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola. Indeed, he is a man of great choice, purpose, decision as well as a very strong determinant who is ever ready to sacrifice all it will cost him in order to make both the people of Lagos State comfortable and also make Lagos Sate to be a small London. Within a short period of time he has greatly transformed Lagos State into what people never imagine it can become in the next nine (10) years to come. You know like our federal governments who do deceive Nigerians that they are looking towards “vision 2020”. The federal government who cannot really point towards any achievements at all in the country and year by year our great country’s budget does multiply. It is a pity Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, an executive governor of Lagos State is totally and completely different from all other governors in Nigeria. Since he had become the executive governor of Lagos State, everything has greatly changed to the best level. In fact, he is an example to other governors in Nigeria. They always cite him as an example to their states. And this even made few governors who did not want to do anything before to have a change of mind.

However, Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola is indeed a dynamic, extraordinary and an outstanding governor in the whole Nigeria. In fact, provided that an award is to be given to the best governor in Nigeria, The awards should go directly to him (Gov. Babatunde Raji Fashola). When talking about his achievements, he has wonderfully transformed Lagos State in terms of beautification, making it to be a small London. He has as well affected and encourages other areas like education as well as giving Scholarships to students. He also did well concerning Employment, Health by providing jobs for the unemployed people within the state. And most importantly providing a free health care in all general hospitals including free drugs. Not only this but also there is a good management of tax payment and the people of his state are highly responding because they could see clearly where their money is been spent. On like our federal government who will cross their legs and be stealing public fund. Another thing that this great governor did and till today is working very well and people commend on it seriously is the aspect of transportation that is BRT BUS. This area has greatly changed the face of Lagos State compared to other commercial buses. He also takes a great step further to help Sosa’s children –motherless homes in every segment of their needs. I personally, have never seen in the history of Lagos State and Nigeria a governor who used his birth day to visit motherless babies instead of him to be enjoying and drinking somewhere else. This has drastically added to his greatness and achievements. Above all, he is an encouragement to all the youth in the state in terms of financial support, education, scholarship and awards as well as sport. Various youth’s destiny has greatly changed positively. I have no doubt in my mind that this governor ought to be the next president of Nigerian. In fact, if survey is carried out all over Nigeria you will discover that a large number of people will choose him as the next Nigeria president.

Notwithstanding, if Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola is compared and contrast with other governors in the entire Nigeria, he is the best. I have not seen that governor in Nigeria who can withstand his achievements and visions.

Conclusively, I just want to advice all Nigerians that when next they want to vote both at the state and federal level they should choose the best aspirant who is ever ready to deliver more than people’s expectations. Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola is the best of all in Nigeria and indeed, he is an “Obama” of Lagos State and even Nigeria!
