Hoping That Others Will Appreciate Our Work

We all have interests that are very important to us, many that we wish could be more than just a hobby. My motto is, “do what you love, love what you do,” but this doesn’t always seem easy. Mostly the things that we love to do, everyone else loves to do, and this may stop us from pursuing it. We think about how much competition we’ll have to face, and we may listen to others around us that say, “you don’t have a chance,” but you shouldn’t let things like this discourage you. I hope that one day I will be a published author, a discovered photographer, to be able to reach more readership on-line, and be able to touch people through my work deeply. We all want to be appreciated for our creativity, especially since it is an extension of our being. Each time we put a part of ourselves into our work, readers can tell “who we are on a deep level,” so don’t give up, because this is a big reason not to. Readers appreciate honesty, and when we give them a part of ourselves they do connect with that. Not everyone will feel this way, but there are those who will. It is important that we continue to do what we love for ourselves, but also for those that do need what we each have to offer. My best advice to anyone pursuing writing or photography, is to keep doing it, because someone out there needs you. Your work is an extension of who you are, and if you stick with it, you’ll reach those that will love it. I’ve learned that writing and photography is, “in the eye of the beholder,” and because of this you shouldn’t give up. I may not be the best, but their are going to be those out their that will identify with me. You should never give up on your dreams, but instead work towards reaching those that appreciate what you have to offer.
