Kevin Sorbo – 1958

In 1995, I had a huge crush on Kevin Sorbo. This 37 year-old, 6′ 3″ (1.91 m) tall actor who played Hercules in the TV show Hercules: The Legendary journey. I wasn’t the only 11-year-old with a crush.

Today, I still have a crush on Sorbo, both his younger Hercules and present version.

Kevin has starred and co-starred in a number of movies and TV series. I last watched him in a guest role in the TV series Hawaii Five-0, starring Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan.

Timothy Hutton – 1960

Timothy Hutton won Oscar for Best Supporting actor at the age of 20 and he still holds the record of being the youngest actor to have won Best Supporting Oscar. The movie was Ordinary People. It was a Robert Redford-directed effort from 1980. His co-stars were Donald Sutherland, Judd Hirsch and Mary Tyler Moore.

He followed Ordinary People with the movie Taps in 1981. The movie co-starred Tom Cruise and Sean Penn. This performance brought Timothy Hutton a nomination for Best Actor at 1982’s Golden Globes.

He was actually offered Tom Cruise’s role in Risky Business, but Timothy declined to work on more challenging projects.

He has appeared in many productions, small and big. Currently, he is starring in the hit action/drama series The Leverage where he plays Nathan Ford, a former Insurance agent who is now working with a group of expert thieves to steal from the corrupt corporations and give back to the victims. Angel’s Christian Kane and Coupling’s Gina Bellman co-star.

Recommended Hutton:

The Killing Room, Taps, Ordinary People, Beautiful Girls, The Good Shepherd

Leverage TV Series, The Ghost Writer, Serious Moonlight
