Insightful Child

Children really do say the funniest things.  Driving to the store one day, my 9 year old daughter overheard my conversation about the state of the economy, the price of food and fuel and some comments about the extent of the recession.  Watching her from the rearview mirror, I saw her puzzled expression.  I asked her if she was alright, but she was clearly deep in thought and did not immediately respond.  A few moments later, she blurted out the word “recession”, paused and queried, “Isn’t that what happens after a wedding?”
