It All Started in The Time of Martial Law

Worst events that happened because of Martial Law proclamation.

It All Started In The Time Of Martial Law

Martial Law was proclaimed by then president Ferdinand Marcos on September 21, 1972. I was 17 years old that time and my interests in politics started to dwindle and this was also the era why I hated the politicians until now.

But I believe that the Guiness Book of Records of the Philippine’s politics started in the time when Martial Law was proclaimed. These are the facts and information:

The scenario in which a deceased voter can vote….. it all started in the time of Martial Law…..until now?

The singing duo of Ferdinand Marcos and Imelda Marcos and even the couple’s movie… it all started in the time of Martial Law; and some Filipino politicians of today like to become actors and actresses and vice versa, the Filipino actors and actresses like to become politicians.

The ghost employees working in government agencies who only report to the office during the 15th and the 30th of every month to get their salary……. it all started in the time of Martial Law….. until now?

The media milliage, the covering up of the reality and the bribery of the politicians to some media personnel….. it all started in the time of Martial Law…… until now?

The rising numbers of Filipino rebels: New People’s Army and the Muslim Rebels…… it all started in the time of Martial Law…… but now the present administration tries hard to promote peace but finds it hard because I think that there are some politicians who also wanted to hold power and tried to bar the government in doing so.

The number one record of corruption( globally ) it all started in the time of Martial Law…… until now it still is but in fairness this administration I didn’t hear any news about corruption but it’s still existing.

The Filipino people who adored corrupt politicians, until now the perpetrators of the Martial Law are still holding positions of the Philippine government …… the loyalists to the corrupt politicians …… until now they still exist because of favors they get from these politicians.

Well if I will enumerate all the records, maybe it will take ten more years so I’ll end up here hoping that all these things will end because for me politics is a dirty business. Oh I forget one thing: there’s a quote among Filipino people: If you want to get filthy rich be a politician.
