Between 300 and 500 people heard her sing in Foley Square in lower Manhattan, where activists staged a demonstration on the occasion of Veterans Day War, noted AFP.
Some of the protesters were not born when the figurehead of the protest song had its golden age, in years 60 and 70.
But Joan Baez, 70, short gray hair and a scarf around the neck, managed to sing to people gathered outside the federal courthouse, as they had done on Tuesday, David Crosby and Graham Nash during a mini-concert in the square Zuccotti.
