Lite Society or Real Society You Choose?

My views on western societies obsession with whats best for you!

Also food warnings ie “Caution this product contains nuts” written on the side of a packet of pea nuts!  Well I would be upset sir if it didn’t!  Written on a packet of cigarettes “Warning smoking causes cancer and will shorten your life” [Enjoy] “Full fat butter will clog your arteries and shorten your life!” umm enjoy your toast and butter!

I am grateful for all these warnings however un-subtle.  My point is I know beer is fattening, I know smoking causes cancer, I know a 100w bulb uses more electricity than a 60w bulb.  Contrary to popular opinion I am not an idiot I can read and listen.

Maybe I’m spit balling here but when i order an alcoholic drink, maybe I want to get lets say merry! else I would order an ice water or Coke!  Maybe when I spread butter on my toast instead of axle grease [I mean Margarine or olive based spread sorry for the little sarcasm] Its because it tastes better!  Finally I want a 100w bulb so i can see where I’m going at night.  Whats the point in being a thin low cholesterol non smoking, non drinking man, who is dead with a broken neck after falling down my stairs because I cant see with the 60w bulb!

I may publish my findings on a study i have been doing of late, i have come up with a theory, keep it to your selves please!  I have discovered that I can drink a full fat glass or 3 of wine on say a Saturday night and I’m ok unless i drink too much every-night.  I can have butter on my toast but not every day I use half fat in the week or less.  I gave up smoking 6 years ago through my own choice.  Its in its infancy this theory, it needs more work so keep it quiet.  The rumour around the camp fire is people can think for themselves!

Loved it. Here when you want a 60 watt bulb you must now buy a 67 watt bulb because they think you really wanted a 75 watt bulb. In any event the threads will soon no longer fit the sockets as we are to be forced into buying low impact bulbs at thrice the price.

The struggle to be able to make our own mistakes is on going. Just give me the information and let me make my own decisions.
