Maguindanao Massacre

Today, 8 of the 31, journalist killed  in Maguindanao, known as Maguindanao massacre, were buried. This is now the 12th day since the killings was done against the innocent and defenseless members of the press. Cries for justice to the victims have been rising everyday, within and around the country.

Forensic results from the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory revealed that 5 out of the 8 women journalist were raped before they were killed.

This incident has been considered by the World Press Organization as the most inhuman act committed against the journalist in the entire world, making the Philippines the most dangerous place for the journalist.

Join in condemning this brutal and inhuman acts committed against members of the press. As this happened in the Philippines, it may also happen anywhere.

    I am horrified. I have not heard about this on the news or read of it in the papers.I wonder why it hasn\’t been better reported. It should be told far and wide.
