Modern Technology

But I try to me a little more patient, and it decides to work finally.  It is also so touchy, that if anyone asks me if have a web cam, I tell them sure I have one, but my computer has a mind of its own and I am afraid to put it on.  Oh, and most importantly, the laptop, why was it not the one and only one invented, and maybe just have some kind of  extender stand to convert it to a desktop.  I must say, my butt does get a little sore if sit for a long time, and a little frown comes across my face, when Friends tell me there are in bed under warm covers on a laptop and I’m sitting here with  chilly toes.  But of course, overall, the Technology of it, brings us to the awe’s of it.

Car:

Yes, of course, then there is our car, it works when it wants to, can be nice or rough ride on way to work.  And when a little tired, battery wont start, and we rely on it so much, and whey says, “Hey, I’m a little tired today”, and it won’t work, our daily life for a short time has come to a standstill.  It gets thirsty, a lot sometimes, and doesn’t want the cheap $1.00 discount drink, it wants only the best, to keep running good.  So there goes the overtime pay.

When the power goes out, and we have no lights, no phone, as we almost all have cordless now.  The computer’s don’t work, and the cells maybe not be fully charged so they don’t last long.  We find we have, for a short time, come to a total, horrific, stand still in our lives.  And the cars, well, we rely on them a lot.  Most of us commute to work, way too far to walk, and catching a bus would take hours, and so, we spend every last dime we have sometimes trying to make our lives easier.

I have sometimes thought, or wished, to go back to the horse and buggy days.  I would be just as happy in a log cabin, and just breathing in the fresh air that comes in on a sweet sunny morning.  And walking along a path that lets you see the nature all around you.  But hey, it’s the Technology that has changed our ways, and led us on this path of Electronics. 

So here I find the two are right upon my heels again:

Car did not want to start when wanted to come home from work at 11pm, and had to try to jump several times, which did nothing, then was told it might be my alternator.  I work 30 minutes drive from home, now that’s a walk.  Can imagine how thankful I was that we gave it one more try and it started it.  So I made sure I zoomed straight home, without stopping, so that I would not take a chance to turn it off and it not start up again.

Then the computer, I have a habit of leaving it on sometimes, as my son says it is better, for whatever reason.  So then I will come and it’s frozen, and locked up, and it won’t let me sign onto my yahoo messenger, as it kept telling me I was asleep.  It would not come out of that mode, so I guess it had a mind of it’s own and wanted to stay that way.  So I had to go all the way out, and restart the computer, and then when I do this, it decided to delete yahoo messenger all together, so had to set it back up.  Awe, the wonderful world of our Modern Technology.
