More War?
The Middle East has been a world hot spot since World War I and as the world turns its attention towards China, the Middle East is still a threat.
As the United States begins to leave Iraq, a new threat looms on the horizon: Iran. United States policy makers have come froward claiming that Iran is developing nuclear weapons and is using its civilian nuclear energy program as a cover. At the moment the United States as not come forward with sufficient evidence to declare that the nuclear weapon program is even happening. But on the flip side; Iran has not come forward with any evidence to suggest otherwise. Iranian president Mohmoud Ahmadiejad kicked out UN inspectors mere weeks ago (this is the same way Iraq started for those who don’t know or forgot), so until either side come forward with evidence to declare one side is wrong the yelling match will continue.
Iran however still poses a major threat, not directly to the United States, but through United States allied countries. The blood lust between Israel and Iran is known the world over. And the threat for Iran to attack Israel is an ever clear and present danger. And not only has Iran threatened to attack Israel some months ago, released today in the Boston Globe it was states that “Iran will attack other U.S. interests outside of the Middle East”.
So while the battle for the truth of Iran’s nuclear program will countine the threat for war or at least a battle or two between Western powers (U.S. and her allies) and Iran looms ever closer.
