My Views on Fashion
Follow the leader.
Basically, when we talk about fashion, it is most of the time about the way we dress. However, nowadays there is a trend for everything like language, way of eating. Fashion has always existed – in the primitive times up to today – and will continue to exist in future also. Many factors such as TV, magazines and globalisation have further improved its progress and fashion is now a full-grown industry.
The fashion industry mainly the rich countries has become a very profitable sector. It provides jobs to more than a thousand team of professionals who are specialised in computerised drawing packages and several models also. I think that this industry is a good way of earning a living and requires a lot of hard work as well, though many think otherwise.

Furthermore, through fashion, fame can easily be acquired unlike in other fields whether it concerns the designer or the models. It is also most probably because of small trendy shows that the Miss World competition started. From there, some lucky models like Julia Roberts, Sushmita Sen usually get selected by film producers in Hollywood as in Bollywood and finally form part of actors and actresses. Thus, fashion gives the involved people both money and a name.
Fashion also affects the public. Teenagers especially, tend to get more influenced by the ever-changing trends. For example, recently mini churidars have become fashionable thanks to hindi movies. The majority of teenage girls and even adults can now be seen wearing the type of churidar almost everywhere. This is how actually a trend is set up. Following a particular fashion sometimes feels like helplessness, at other times, a pleasure. It is never great to be the odd one but it does happen that we do not feel comfortable when following a certain trend.

However, fashion also brings along some bad habits most of which later develop into social evils. For instance, at one time, cigarette smoking was a trend, being the characteristic of actors then. Now, it is no longer fashionable but has not been eradicated get.
In my opinion, to be fashion-minded may seem ‘chic’ but rather disrespectful in many cases. Trendy clothes may not exactly be decent ones nor using foul language in front of elders. I think that one should choose carefully which fashion to adopt and which to reject.
In brief, I am of opinion that fashion is an aspect of life to cultivate nevertheless without crossing the limits of decency or to be up-to-date, respecting one’s cultural and moral values at the same time.
