Oxymoron: Open Secrets of Our Society
About some of the contradicting social issues, which always remain open secrets.

An oxymoron is a figure of speech that combines normally contradictory terms. They appear in a range of contexts, from inadvertent errors such as extremely average, to deliberate puns like same difference. Such paradox exists in the society as an open secret. I have tried to showcase a few things here.
The Farmer
The farmer works day and night in his field (or other’s field on a payment basis) and grows crops to feed the people. The rich get the best and the farmer is left unfed.
A farmer harvests tonnes of food grains but these grains seldom return to his house.

Farmers are pushed to commit suicide in many parts of the world.

The working class
A poor worker, in spite of having a regular employment, remains in relative poverty due to low levels of pay and dependent expenses.

But the products that he produces are mostly used by the rich. He never tastes the fruit of his hard work. A worker who mines kilos of gold cannot afford to buy even a milligram of gold for his family.

Manhole workers
Even now, after the invention of modern equipments, manholes in many cities are maintained by poor workers.

These workers risk even their lives. Some men never came up alive and those who came up suffer from various diseases. They are forced to intake a lot of alcohol to overcome the effect of the sewers.

The parents
The parents shower their child with love and wealth. They take care of every need of the child and try to give him/her a respectable future.

Alas, the children when grown up consider their parents as a burden and think of putting them in an old-age homes.

There are many more things that remain an oxymoron in this society. Will it change?

Definitely there is no scope for change. The reason is unless they improve their education level, they will always be suffering. Can we group the workers at par with children who forsake their aged parents?

The world should come to an end so that we begin again properly, or else where is the way? A post like this generates awareness.
