Pity Filipinos Who are Called Monkeys
Advices for those who mock Filipinos, you better know their roots first.
If Filipinos are monkeys then who do you think you are?
The Culture of Filipinos
Due to several colonizers, the culture and heritages of Filipinos were mixed though the common celebrations evolved in Christianity. The traditions can all be traced back from the Spanish heritage since it has deeply rooted in the mentality of the locals after 3 centuries of being with the Spanish rule.
Among this culture includes hospitality or accommodating visitors very well even jeopardizing the self interest, mañana habit which means procrastination, vassal-peasant type of business especially in agricultural lands called haciendas, colonial mentality which means stereotypical expectations of specific places and many more.

Family is very important in the Philippines and it’s considered as an emotional clingy race. Every member of the family when able will do everything for the family’s interest and this triggers the kind of decision making they make.
Due to poverty and effects of bad cultures of Filipinos, the government anomalies are prevalent up to a degree that destroyed the “pearl of the orient”.
I am not in the right position to tell you to stop discriminating us but if you are in our shoes what could have you done?
Filipinos contribution to the world
The people who are doing the odd jobs in your community hospitals, in your houses, in your bridges, in your buildings or even in your farms can be Filipinos. The people who are making your food, who are taking care of your kids or your elderly, even giving you nursing aids and entertaining you are maybe Filipinos. In the new age, Filipinos are the ones who are operating your computers, your machineries, driving your cars, defending you in courts or does this make any sense to you? You just happened to be attacked or victimize by one of them at the bar which may also be your fault that pushed you generalized us as a nation. A British guy stole my taxi when I was on the way to work does this mean all Brits are like that? No! Humans are humans wherever they are from. This may sound familiar but maybe you are neighbors with bad people but because they are the same nationality as you, they are forgiven but because Filipinos are outside your nationality and you’ve heard they are bad you think they are bad. That’s full of joke and only implies that you are not educated yourself to believe in hear-says.

I am in no shoe to defend what is already destroyed but it all depends on your perception and judgment, after all you are the owner of your senses. A person who loves to say ill words indicates they too have ill senses.
The recent tragedy in Manila after a flood from typhoon Ketsena
You may heard the great flood in Metro Manila that killed hundreds of people and left devastating 4 billion pesos in damages or you think this is a joke?
Some people commented in some social sites that those Filipino monkeys deserve it but if you are in their shoes how would you feel?

Maybe you are lucky enough to be in a safe haven now but remember life is ever changing and when it’s your time of disaster would you be happy to hear same comments? Of course not! For now, you are one lucky person to be in terror free but as Confucius said “don’t do unto others what you don’t want others will do to you”, you have to be careful about your words because the next time around I would just pray no one will mock you down.

amen to that.. being there before the culture is very diverse not of nationality but of character and its ability to stand on its on and govern themselves.. i have explore most of what is consider to be the worst part of philippines; the southern part, but i can tell you that there is nothing more dangerous than walking down the wrong alley of a bad neighborhood in the united states.. the majority are humble and very entertaining host for the seeds of apples dont come with just one but many for never judging the impurities of the nation but its resilince to stand back up and dust itself off.. Sorry for the floods of the storms and do know that the States has a hand in whatever needed supply to help regain the stature of a great place.. As one in a race of Human we must stand together to live with each and accept each other misfortunes.. Eric Smithers.. U.S. Army Japan.

great post.. there are lot of things also that we Filipinos should be thankful for.. like our skin color.. our skills, our creativity and mostly our love for our country and our people… even if we dont have all the amenities in life.. the BAYANIHAN before in were our ancestors carry houses from one place to another.. is still very much alive —- and it shows how we help each other in this trial that our country are facing… giving donations… clothes.. cash.. manpower… everything are all acts of BAYANIHAN… this is one thing Im proud to be a FILIPINO..

Thanks! This is so touching. Proud to be Filipino! To anyone who keeps belittling the Philippines, just remember you are in no position whatsoever to insult us. Everyone has their good and bad side. So stop thinking you are superior because no one can ever replace HIM and HE knows everything.

Filipinos ROCK. Spain WAS wrong to enslave filipinos during that time. Just like how they ”Celebrate” Columbus day. Columbus DID NOT DISCOVER AMERICA he was lost. Philippines is a beautiful, and tropical country. don’t make fun of pinoys, because you never know what will happen. Philippines was civilized, but spain just did that. This is coming from A HALF-FILIIPINO(Mestisa) AND IM PROUD

I love the post. I don’t understand how anyone would mock or say something negative about Filipinos. I am Korean who is married to Filipina, and they are the most fun and hospitable people I’ve ever met. Every nationality has something positive and negative, and there’s not one who’s better than the other because God created us equal.

“The Filipina is the last real woman left on earth.. the last real woman. She’ll do anything for you. Anything. You name it, eh? She’ll do it. Give you a shower, wash the dirty panties… She’ll do anything for you. And, she’s STUPID! Stupid like a monkey!”
