Plato’s Triad Unity-mind-soul

Plato’s triad Unity-Mind-Soul.

Undeniably is that the bosom of our West European civilization was ancient Greece. Undeniably is the fact that Plato’s name is emblematic of that era. And because of that we are all, in a sense Platonist – whether you realize or not. Plato’s teaching is not dead. His place is in the cultural roots from which our society is born. Our time is the “brainchild” of antiquity. And every one who has spent time and effort to recognizes the interpretations that ideological and conceptual correlation in multilevel depths of his philosophy makes impossible any attempt for a comprehensive and complete analysis. So Plato is always modern and always has something to tell us. Diogenes said to him that he “used words with diverse content to his writings are not easy for the ignorant.” And it is not because of some esoteric tendency to mystification.  And any attempt to turn an abstract Platonic ideology to metaphysics, epistemology, linguistics is doomed to failure.
With this we have flagged the main character of Plato’s life. Here is the place to celebrate and especially ontological reductionism “or, in other words – the special links between the existing cosmic order and the everyday behavior of people”. And if this is typical of all Antiquity, Plato applies it to the fullest effect. This explains how often in dialogues specific issues and themes of a dispute (he was in “Big Hippie”, “Meno”, “Teetet” or other) gradually culminating to the question of being true. When truth is seen as identical with the being, then one can not choose the lie or untruth without killing himself. Just for this reason many ancient Greeks held a duels between words and bodies.
Once we laid the theoretical basis, can now enter the specific problems of the given topic. Namely, one triad unity-mind-soul. These three hypo-stasis forming Platonic world, will be the subject of our research and analysis. Initially we will consider in its static system. Gradually we will show the meaning content of each hypo-stasis separately, then their vital interaction. It is important to clarify that they do not function as three separate elements, but rather as a network – one of the others can not exist.
The concept of a most deeply expresses the totality of being. In the language of formal logic, this means “the final category, which is impossible without any understanding”. It is always necessary to think of any thing. It is the foundation. One is the principle and the definition of being fundamentally. As such, one is inestimably of any particular thing.  Because it is a principle rather than being. It is nothingness, but in the sense that it is above being. It is all the world’s dimensional characteristics and in this sense is cosmic, which is beyond nature. One is the higher hypo-stasis of reality. On the one hand, it is absolute – its emptiness, vacuity, darkness and nothing. But in its linked to the reality, it is immanent energy, inexhaustible power, light and meaning. Uniform, and all volumes being any justification for existence, magnitude, value and meaning itself lies beyond them.
The principle is one. Rather, there are more beginnings  - …God and matter. God, he called Intel and Reason. Matter from which everything is born is formless and infinite. Moving initially in disarray matter, he says, were gathered together by God, who decided that the series is better than chaos “(Diogenes -” The Lives of Philosophers “).
Mind (space) is the second hypo-stasis. This is a life reachable with you conscious. They are not just cognitive concept or method which does not mean that it does not work. And so after the etymology of the word IDEA *, most appropriate definition which we can apply is that ideas are ” conscious entities”. The world of ideas is one, but there exist many ideas, even their opposites. That is, he is single / multiple and contradictory / harmonic.
Let us dwell in more detail the concept idea. Every idea has form  and bow. They can be understood as synonyms. One thing there so far by depicting their form and peculiar to the idea. Every phenomenon is any particular existing conceptual represent in one degree or another.
We must admit that the doctrine of Plato’s ideas is the first systematically constructed genre and metaphysics. We must not forget that the basic assumption on which Plato proceeds is that the world is united. Ideas are abstractions space represents a particular aspect of a single abstract, adjustment yourself in all totality definitions. Ontological ideas are supporters of all (even to self opposite ideas) characteristic. Third World hypo-stasis soul is located between the world of ideas and the sensible world. This position determines its dual function – on the one hand and cognitive life targets brain reachable being, on the other hand  - as the driving force of movement and life in the sensible world. This choice between good and evil, knowledge and opinion, truth and lies …
Plato considered the soul of an ontological level. Space is a living creature, but his soul is “breath.” The soul is an expression of life, the perfect space, its life creating power. But it realizes itself in the sense space, because there is manifestation of the mind and its dynamical effect. ”He says that the soul is immortal and dressed alternately in many bodies …Defining it as the idea of breath spilled everywhere. Soul is to self moving (Diogenes). Therefore, the cognitive act has a twofold effect, which has already been mentioned (as an objective idea of reason and knowledge). Sensory perception, which is at the beginning of any knowledge is nothing but inspiration for extracting knowledge from the soul itself, which “remembers”. This “memory” reflects the loved already unity between soul and space.

You have layed this out quite specifically. The nuances of language is very important when translating ideas of the mind and soul. Plato’s influence within society and science is no doubt still applicable in modern existence. Very interesting article for sure.
