- The universally known Roman Catholic Pope John Paul II was born and raised in Poland.
- The famous piano composer Frederic Chopin was from Poland.
I hope you liked my report on Poland. It was fun getting my report together. I now know more about my Grandmother’s heritage, and have a better understanding of my ancestors and their country. I have Polish ancestry on both sides. Mom was a Kiwolski (or however it is spelled). One source indicated the Macinta surname as being part of Polish Protestant Nobility (cool!)
I dig many Polish dishes, and can polish them off (a little play on the spelling there),

Great article,I would like to add couple facts about Poland.
Well known Noblist on the field of nuclear sience, Marie Curie – Sklodowska has been of Polish origin. She discover Polon, Radon which now occuopy Mendeleiev Tablet. Kazimierz Pulaski, Polish noble, and freedom fighter, emigrate to United States and was creator of U.S. Cavalery, and give his life in batlle by Savannah.
That’s only few facts about Poland, which is my birth country, now United States Citizen.
