Provocative or Art?
With the October Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign coming, advertisements of painted breasts have been appearing around Singapore.

Some Singaporeans have expressed concerns that such advertisments are indecent and obscene, since it is exposing the model’s breast to the public’s eye. I am quite sure that in Western countries, such advertisments will be widely accepted. Asia countries are relatively reserve about exposing ones body to the public, even when it is done tastefully, like this advertisment campaign. Even for a modern country like Singapore, Singaporeans are still quite conservative. This poster has certainly pushed the boundary of defining what is art and what is provacative. The nipple of the model is clearly shown in the poster, making no delibrate effort to hide the fact that this is indeed a nude model’s body with paint on it.
These series of poster has certainly catch the eye of the public. I believe it is an excellent advertising campaign, stirring the public with tastefully done poster and spreading the message across people.
What do you think?
