Rantings

I cant help but wonder how civilization has yet to crumble. The happenings and occurrences around the world are signs of the times. How can so many people see these things and just ignore them to go back to their regular, routine schedule? Instead of an outrage, we get a drastic change in t.v. ratings. I love my country, I have alot more advantages over someone who lives in -lets say- Ethiopia. But I am appalled that most of the American population does not think for themselves. The media pours out so much bullshit and we just accept it without question. Watching the news is entirely different from actually “seeing” whats really happening. It presents just a single observation by a select group of people(only one side of the story). The terrifying thing about this is, what if instead of actually telling the story how it is, someone else had laid out an entirely different interpretation of what had happened. For instance, the WTC towers. Nobody had a doubt that the culprits behind this act were “terrorists” from the Middle East. Surely noone else would have committed such an atrocity. Especially not our own government whom we trust and know so well..
