Rapper 50 Cent to Star in Freelancers
Online reports indicate that rapper 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) is set to feature in a new crime drama titled Freelancers. The rap artist has appeared in many other movies before, starring in Get Rich or Die Tryin’, Home of the Brave and Righteous Kill.
50 Cent will star as the son of a murdered New York police officer
Online reports indicate that rapper 50 Cent, Curtis Jackson, is set to star in the crime drama Freelancers as the son of a murdered New York police officer who joins the police force and becomes one of the Rogue Gotham Cops. Filming is set to begin on the 28th of March under the directorship of Jessy Terrero, who worked with him on Candy shop.

He is best known for the rap album ‘Get rich or die tryin’
Born on the 6th of July, 1975 in New York, 50 cent is a famous rapper and actor known for the rap albums Get rich or die trying and the massacre among others. Both albums have been sold more than 10 million copies. His rise to stardom is attributed to his discovery by rapper Eminem in 2002 after which he founded the now famous G-Unit.

He is an accomplished rapper and actor
50 cent has appeared in various movies such as Get Rich or Die Trying, Home of the brave, and Righteous Kill. In May 2000, he was shot nine times by a gunman but survived. He was ranked the best rap artist for the decade between 2000 and 2009 by Billboards. Among his later albums are Curtis released in 2007, Before I self destruct (2009) and Black Magic (2011).
He has featured in many movies and TV series
50 Cent has featured in many other movies apart from the three mentioned with the most notable being Caught in the crossfire, Dead man running, Streets of blood, and Gun. He also appeared in the TV series entourage in an episode titled ‘One Car, Two Car, Red Car, Blue Car’.

I think this is the new thing for pop idols to do. I was amazed last week to see my favourite pop singer, Will Young, starring in a new TV drama series. An interesting post, Jimmy.

I saw the movie Gun, though cannot say anything in regards of his acting. I would say it was on avegare level. Anyway, sorry I only said this. I was never (and probably never will be) interested in rap and similar stuff …
