Religious Items, Charms, and Amulets in One Small Stall
In the Philippines, people believe that many things are possible with the help of a deep religious faith, and a few religious items.

A vendor sells religious items, charms, and amulets near a church.
With a little faith, it’s been said that you can move mountains. But if you don’t think you have enough faith, then perhaps a few religious items, charms, and amulets will do the trick and give you a much needed boost. Indeed, there are people who use such items to “keep the faith,” so to speak. Such items, religious or otherwise, that help people’s faith are popular in the Philippines where the a lot of people have a deep sense of connection to the spiritual. These items, while not endorsed as magical by the Catholic Church as they are promoted by faith healers, are sold by vendors on makeshift stalls on the streets, oftentimes, near churches.

Which charm do you pick? They’re only for those who believe. Otherwise, they’re just trinkets.
Apart from the rosaries and other religious items, the charms and amulets are said to be able to give powers to the bearer such that anyone may become impervious to bullets or allow a person to gain superhuman strength. But of course, if these items can really give people such abilities, everyone would now be wearing them now, right? Most of them are just mere trinkets, but they do indeed help to make someone’s faith stronger, one way or the other, that is, if you believe. But there is a thin line between true faith and what’s fake, and there lies the danger.

I think if you have faith these items might well work for you. An interesting post.

Great little post. If you believe something strongly enough, you can sometimes make it true.

Anything that helps keep faith alive can’t be a bad thing.

Sometimes amulets will just exposes the one that has it in danger. When I was in the military some of those who became casualties had amulets. The reason was that those who had them believed that they were invincible. But in reality they were not.

I don’t believe in the power of those charms and amulets but i do respect those who believe in them. When I was a child, I have an amulet, it did not gave me any super powers but has given me hope and courage. An interesting post… thanks for sharing!
