RIVER CIVILISATIONS

River civilisations thrive because they settle at the mouth of rivers where it is always tropical or semi-tropical, thus making crop growing a lot easier as they can grow crops all year round because their river is the source of their fertile soil.

River originate from mountains when the ice melts, already being fresh water, the keep flowing thus making a small stream. Over time, the rain enriches the water with many minerals and nutrients. The steam then becomes a river and due to the yearly flooding, the water from the river then overflows onto the surrounding soil with all its nutrients sinking into the soil. This process has been done for many years, thus making the surrounding soil fertile for growing crops. The river over time had also grown more flat lining, thus making it very easy to cultivate many different types of crops, having so much food to trade and support their civilisation that make them succeed.
