Satisfaction

What is satisfaction and how can it be achieved?

I often wonder why we usually ask for something that is beyond our reach. We often wanted things that are not in our position, thinking that by having them we think we could find satisfaction. Thus, some people do hideous things to have what they want in life. Sometimes it’s good to think that we have them but if we look closely we could see that on the way of achieving those things we were unhappy. We become bitter. Some will say that it just part of it but deep within they knew how unhappy they are.

There are also people who would rather stay where they are if only to protect them from the pain that comes along the way of achieving things. But later on realize that they are not happy, especially if they see their loved ones unhappy.

So what is it then that brings happiness and satisfaction? What could a person with simple dreams do to be happy and satisfied? We usually hear people say that be contented with what you have and you will be happy. But is that really true? I wanted to be contented, I am contented but why is it that every time I saw my loved ones not having much I become unhappy? It is not true then. Or is it simply that as long as a person lives he/she couldn’t be truly satisfied because they could only keep on wanting for more.

Satisfaction, what is it? What is it for me? What is it for you?

    Very nice article.

    In a nutshell:

I believe life is a continual process of learning and growing. It’s also a journey to find balance and fulfillment. Moving waters stay fresh, but there is always a consistency within the beautiful waves.

    Nice work.

    Blessings.

    Sincerely,

    -Liane Schmidt.
