Should Christians Have Large Families?
This is a question that was asked recently in United Kingdom.
I submit a comment on modern day public thinking.
The question was posed on whether Christians in the modern western world need to have many children as in the past.
We as Christians should not be too polite or too posh to push lots of christian children and so perpetuate our christian society and way of life thereof.
Other religions have a majority in the world because they have large families without apology.
We need to be concerned to protect our lifestyle and our society within the scheme of things in the world. Also, with all the social/public services that exist in UK for one, one still needs family to lend you money for gas/food/transport, etc on a bad day or to pull you out of a river if drowning. Most other public services are likely to say it is not their responsibility/job/remit, etc and allow you to drown.
Without family, in spite of all the so called public services you are often alone in the world and without help to survive even in western countries and especially where problems are more than routine. Government/Public staff are often complacent about the work they do. It seems humans cannot help but be untrustworthy when it comes to voluntary accountability for their employment and always need to be independently and constantly monitored.
It is true when the cat’s away the mice will play. But even the cats now need to be monitored by once again having some religious order.
It seems the extended family is STILL the most effective Social Services Department and representative for teaching Christianity as a way of life for our society.
To expect British way of life to be upheld by non-believers or people from other countries and so religions who have larger families and so population is naive and perhaps complacent.
