Silly Blonds: Myth or Reality?
The difficulty in breaking a myth.
I was listening to a talk show and there is proof in England and probably elsewhere that years after the emancipation of women, more women on politics and constant hammering of equality issues, women are still treated as inferiors if they are blond as opposed to being brunette. The talk show was conducted by a brunette.
The narrator of the talk show admitted that she was jealous because of the likelihood that blonds have more fun compared to their darker haired counterparts. That only helps to feed the biased behavour society has or thinks it does. On comes a blond who has always had difficulty in dying her hair darker because she is not being herself and she does not feel that she is especially luckier than her darker haired counterparts. That helped to dispell the objective latitude that the program wanted to project.
But according to a pay scale in the UK blond women reported getting less salary than their darker haired associates. There is no reason especially if the idea of silly brass blonds is a product of what film fed the masses decades ago. I am sure that there must me an equal amount of silly brown haired people out there whatever the gender.
