Strip Club Psychology
An inquiry into how the sex trade affects our society and collective psyche.
Verily, there is something truly dazzling about this exhibition of aesthetic perfection. Human sexuality is to be celebrated, not spurned. From time immemorial, people of all cultures and beliefs have admired the physical prowess of others, whether from a purely visual standpoint or as an appreciation of perceived fertility. It is human nature to value in others the perfection that is beyond one’s own grasp, and acts like the Chippendales are nothing more than a grand stage for this pinnacle of sexual prowess. All other fields have a platform for displaying their most remarkable specimens, so doesn’t it make sense that the one most responsible for our existence as a species should be given the same opportunity? In terms of evolutionary progress, it is only natural that we be drawn to sexual excellence- after all, procreation is our most significant biological pursuit. This is not to say that the sex trade should be without regulation; clearly, this is of paramount importance to individual safety, as not all people possess the self restraint or singularity of purpose to appreciate a strip club as a venue for adulation, rather than copulation. It must be made clear that the function of the establishment is to serve as an arena for the observation of the craft, not its indiscriminate practice. However, with sufficient and responsible supervision by qualified specialists, there is no danger in the operation of strip clubs.
All cultures must necessarily have their eccentricities. Human nature is fucked up.
