There are always some strange news coming up every now and then and now we see that Thailand has recruited transgender boys (ladyboys) as flight attendants, which was recruited by a new airline at Thailand, making the identity of the Thai Airline unique to make itself different from other competing airlines at Thailand.

These transgender ladyboys are known as ‘katoeys’ in Thailand, have a very large population in Thailand, who are largely visible compared to other countries. These transgender ladyboys are often seen working in cosmetic stores, and shops, but now there is something new, and we’ll be seeing these Thai transgenders and transexual at airplanes as flight attendants.

PC Air, the new airline to be launched in Thailand, had initially decided to recruit only males and females staff but later on they agreed to recruit transgenders and transexuals after receiving so many application for the job.

It has been said that the interview for the selection of these transgenders was a tough task as the interviewer for the Thai airline had to make sure that the transgenders were well qualified and could speak, talk, walk and have feminine qualities in order to get recruited. These ladyboys do have a little discrimination at Thailand, as they still are considered as males and have male written in their identity card but it is good for them that the Thai airline is accepting application from these Thai Transgender ladyboys to be recruited as flight attendants.

This new Thai airline will be first set off to take off to South Korea, Hong Kong and China.

I think that it is wonderful that these people have jobs! Int his economy it doesn’t matter who you are if have a job you are GOLDEN in my book! Great article! In the states we have Gay males working all the time but I have never seen drag males working the job? It would be great if the state were as progressive as Thailand in this respect? Keep the great articles coming!

this is great news. although i find it funny that they would require them to speak and walk feminine. Would people be too confused if they saw a flight attendant with feminine and masculine qualities?
