The 21st Century View of Personalities
A 21st century view of seeing if you are a positive or negative thinking personality type. It may help you to look at other personality types also.
Before you began reading, this is not a reinvented Sigmund Freud view of personality projected decades later. This view, what is called the 21st century view may be cognizant of superficiality to some. You remember the “I am OK,” the “Think Positive” genres of identifying personalities. The most recent personality type views has been the “half empty,” or the “half full” cup phenomenon. The positive person would select the half full cup while the negative thinker would select or refer to their cup as half empty.
The question you have to ask yourself now in the 21st century is how does this picture look to you? The picture is a computer generated (of course) black and white printed photo of a beautiful nice woman and a wrinkled evil witch. Your job and the inclination of your personality depend largely on what you perceive as you look at the picture. At first glance, the picture may look like swirling zags of black lines on white paper. Then as entering a darkened movie theater and not being able to see the seats at first glance, your vision slowly adjusts and you suddenly see a room full of movie watchers and your seat. Viewing this printed graphically designed photo of these two women gives the same effect. However, your personality is characterized by the picture that materializes into your perception at first glance. No looking at the picture again and then trying desperately to find the beautiful nice woman. If you perceive the beautiful nice woman’s image first, then you are a positive person and look for the good in people. If you see the wrinkled evil witch, then your outlook personality wise needs an Obama change for the better. If you can see both pictures simultaneously, then good for you. It is difficult to do, but you are proving to be quite the objective person. Your personality type looks for the best in people regardless of your or their shortcomings. You perceive people the way they are. The empty cup and full cup still works when figuring out personality types. These two cups will always be there to ponder. Why not step it up a bit and enter the 21st century of personality observation and print out the picture on white paper of the beautiful nice woman or the wrinkled evil witch. Which woman do you see?
