The Finer Things in Life

 What are the finer things in life or Luxury Living? A BMW in the driveway for you, the wife has the Mercedes, fur coat, jewelry. You both have a home in the Hampton, or beach front property on the coast (your choice or both coasts). Your kids at 16 start off with a brand new Mustang or BMW convertible as their first car.

The house itself has the finest plush carpets, the bathroom and kitchen features are top of the line. Each bedroom of your rather large home is in itself is a regular sized apartment anyone else can’t afford. You have worked hard and put in a lot of over time for the finer things in life and why not it is most peoples fantasy. This is what is called Luxury Living and you deserve it.

 Well ok so you don’t live like Donald Trump, your house isn’t a mansion. Your version of the finer things in life are the moments you spend with your family. Not the black tie parties where everyone is just there to brag about what they have, your idea is a small dinner with friends out side barbequing or a comfy dinner indoors with the family. The brand new Mustang convertible isn’t for your kids 16th birthday it’s for you and the wife to head on down the open road to the nice little bed and breakfast that you once spent time at then found out 9 months later that kids were coming into you life.

By definition Luxury means to add pleasure or comfort that is not absolutely necessary. The Bentley, BMW or fur coats are not necessary but something that does bring pleasure it shows everyone what hard work had been able to provide. For most of us it’s the little things, spending time with the family, not having to put things back at the grocery store, barbequing with friends. The desire to live like Mr. Trump or not is all yours in reality the finer things in life are not always material things.
