Show someone a picture of the Empire State Building, and they say New York. Speak about Hollywood or Disney Land and they quick to say California because these things are closely connected to these states. All states within the United States has a symbol that many can honestly link to that state.
Sure we an call it the “Grand Ol’ Flag” or name it originator Betsy Ross or Stars and Stripe, and many other names that reflects what it related too. And you realize that our flag is a universal symbol to many nations. Show it and you’re guaranteed that some citizen, of that country knows it. Yes, that how great we are and have been and will continue to be in the future and beyond.
Yes, I’m proud to be American. With all are stupidity, racism and other ills. I’m proud to be born an American. How many can truly say that? When people say they ashamed, of America because, of some political stupidity. Don’t they realize others stupid ways don’t out weigh us as a nation. It sometimes takes a fool to make you realize certain things.
We probably the only country that accepts you openly while also criticizing you too. But we are what we are. And that’s real.
The Statue of Liberty,a gift , from France many centuries ago might be station in the state, of New York. But to many , if you show that image many will think America first and New York second. But both are close enough to be identified although I’m leaning more o people saying America when you ask them the country it’s station in.
Well, what about the White House? Who wouldn’t say it not well known? So, these three signs or symbols represents us more than people truly know.
A flag that many can name when they can’t name other countries flag. A statue known all around the world. If anything close in symbol it’s located in Paris France, which is that amazing tower. And our home to the presidents , of the great United States of America.
Be proud, be happy to be an American.
