The Fourth of July 2011
by As I ponder what to say that would be different from what has been said before I realize our country has been free since 1776 and we have no intention of being otherwise! Every year since July 6th, 1945, my debut on this wonderful world as a free person, I realize how lucky we are to be just that!
It has taken many a brave women and men through the years giving the ultimate sacrifice of their lives depriving their loved ones of themselves! Some survivors have missing limbs but still live in a free society and would do it all again to Be FREE!
While we are celebrating another year of FREEDOM let us NOT forget those who are making this possible on the current battlefields in Iraq, our son being one, Afghanistan and other war torn places across the globe!
All branches of our armed services volunteer the ultimate from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and do so without blinking an eye but leaving behind their Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas, Grandpas, Cousins in hopes they will see them again on earth!
The pomp and circumstance never get boring with the worldwide parades, picnics, and HONORING those who have given the ultimate, LIFE, and would do it again, JUST TO BE FREE!
