With our different jobs and businesses someday it is inevitable that we encounter the handling of our business operations specifically in accounting, marketing, financial analysis and etc. . We further narrow down this terms in this subject. How do we understand and use accounting and marketing skills as a travel management students? Where do we apply these terms?

• Accounting - process of identifying, measuring, and reporting financial information of an entity.
• Marketing - The commercial functions involved in transferring goods from producer to consumer.
• Financial analysis- refers to an assessment of viability,stability, and profitability of a business, sub-business or a project.

These are the simplified definition of these terms, we use these terms in our different jobs in the tourism industry such as working or setting up our own travel agencies. It involves the supply of tickets from one destination to the other, it requires both marketing and accounting in managing the ticketing sector. Engaging ourselves in setting up projects to enhance our Eco-tourism environment would entail transactions and a thorough study in financial analysis and management.

To sum it all up business math has its big contribution to the knowledge we would gain in this course, it contains the vital skills we would need to develop in order to come up with our successful businesses and jobs someday. It comprises the basic and classic learnings that we have learned in our previous elementary and intermediate math. With the wide array of knowledge this subject contains we can surely bring out better solutions to our everyday problems, we can also improve our thinking and apprehending skills through careful analysis, formulation of techniques, bringing out better conclusions and answers to the different questions and problems we are facing everyday.  We explore the world of tourism industry hand in hand with business math, right then we formulate the greatest innovating technique in our chosen field.
