The Thing That Makes the World Go Around

Money is what make the world go round. At least that is what people think, but that is the wrong statement. Money does not make the world go round. I am sure people knew people or heard of people who had money, but quickly lose it. Also there are people who try to make money, but seem to fail on a constant basis.

There are plenty of examples in the entertainment business. There are numerous reports of rock stars that are broke, or went from the mega money star to a regular Joe trying to make ends meat. I won’t bore you with more stores. You could easily google them. Now you are saying what really makes the world go around?

I am so happy you ask. What really makes the world function is not money. It is the knowledge and wisdom that make you money. Great examples are the people you see who are successful. I am not talking about just millionaires. It could be anything a person does that generates money. Here is an example. Mother Theresa was a missionary in a foreign land. Her only job was taking care of the people who were dying. She wanted to give them dignity and the knowledge of self worth. Eventually, her ventures grew to the point she was able to take care of hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people. Remember her only job was taking care of them, so how was she able to get the supplies necessary for such a feet. Simply she had the wisdom to gather money from various sources.

I had the privilege of meeting a custodian. You are thinking a ‘custodian’! Yes, a custodian. You say they don’t make that much. You are thinking of the custodians that make minimum wage. Lets come from under that way of thinking. Again it is not what glamorous job you have, but the knowledge of making money. The person I met made six figures as a custodian. How! He had clean large buildings, but he was the owner of the custodial business. He contracted out to the different buildings. His family helped him, so all the money stayed within the family. That is a good success story. That was an example of a person who knew what it takes to be successful. The type of job you do does not matter. What matters is do you know how to make money in what you do? Let me say it a different way. Do you know how to generate money in what you do?
