one of the most prejudiced countries to live in. They pick people in positions according to nationality and you are paid according to your nationality too. i went for a couple of interviews and was asked if im planning on getting married and having children!!!
i have never in my life been harrassed so much by men who feel it is appropriate to stop their cars roll down their windows to try to speak to me like im some hooker!!! there is nothing much to do here apart from going to the beach, malls and clubs. nothing cultural about dubai at all. the people here try to act snobby, thats only because they never had much in the countries that they origionate from so they feel the need to show off as much as possible. really do not like dubai as you can tell.

I am not living in a country that is ruled by islamic law…..as a woman i like my freedom and the ability to wear short sleeves and show my hair tyvm. Even if those draconian dress laws were not in place the derogatory attitude towards women would make me uncomfortable. Sorry Dubai…as a freedom loving female….i will never visit you or any other arab/muslim nation with dress codes for females.

I can appreciate Dubai’s architectural ambition, as it’s quite progressive. I took time to post the first Dynamic Architecture Project in Dubai on http://www.hipandluxurious.com, and it really raises the bar high on global architectural design.

I’ve often wondered what the real cost of living is in Dubai. It looks awesome for wealthy, educated people that have construction or energy expertise to offer. But, what about average folks hacking out a living in the middle class… or is there such a thing?
