Vampires Do Exist

Six types of vampires that exist in our world today.

Image via Wikipedia

Yes, the title of this article is correct. There are several types of vampires living among us today.

No, they are not the immortal night creatures you see portrayed on TV and in the movies. They are not doomed to live in a world of total darkness. You can see them walking around outside during the daylight hours. The vampires that I am writing about are living breathing human beings. They could possibly be your family members, close friends or anyone you know.

  1. Blood Fetish Vampires feed on the blood of themselves or willing donors. Although they are the most similar to the Hollywood style vampires, they do not require human blood to survive like the fictional vampires do. Blood fetish vampires are known for taking part in blood-play games, hence their similarity to the legendary vampires. They frequently participate in BDSM scenes, which involves cutting themselves and drinking human blood.
  2. Elemental Vampires feed on the four elements of nature, which are Earth, Air, Fire and Water. They receive their life-force energies from the plants (Earth), the wind (Air), the sun (Fire) and storms (Water).
  3. Empathic Vampires feed on the emotions of others. This can be quite risky for the less experienced vampires, especially when feeding on negative emotions. While absorbing the life-force energies needed, they must be careful not to acquire the other person’s emotions. If that were to happen, the feelings they experience could possibly be much stronger than normal. Obtaining the negative emotions of others can lead to severe depression for the vampires who are unable to handle them properly.
  4. Psi Vampires feed on the life-force energies of an individual or a group of people. Some people have claimed that they can feel their energy slowly draining away while being fed from. Although they are left feeling weak afterwards, they are never severely injured from the feeding and they do recover fully.
  5. Sanguine Vampires feed on the life-force energies found in human blood. They only take an ounce or two of blood and they can go for several weeks between feedings. The feeding ritual is a very intimate and sensual experience for both the vampire and their partner.
  6. Sexual Vampires feed from their partners during the act of lovemaking. They receive the life-force energies needed at the moment of climax. The female vampires are referred to as succubi. The male vampires are referred to as incubi. Both sexes are also known as tantric vampires.

Interesting article, Darla, tho I’d say the ones you listed are more oddball or kinky, than Count Dracula-type.

You gave a very new thought about Vampires. I do fancy some sexy vampires they show in movies, :) those are lovely vampires until they start killing.
