Wake Up America Take Back Your Children!
In today’s society to many parents want to be their children’s "best friend". Gone are the days when children accepted responsibility for their own actions. When parents actually parented and taught their children right from wrong!Maybe we need to refresh our memories and go back in history to where children were children and adults were parents.
When is society going to wake up and realize their children are far from perfect? How is it that the government, and school administrators blame the classroom teachers for their students test scores? Why are students not expected to behave in the classroom, have respect for their teachers and peers, and most of all take the responsibility for doing or not doing their own work?
I have worked for the school system for the last 7 years, and my aunt, sister, and mother have worked in the school systems as teachers for the last twenty years. I have seen it all, the misbehavior in the classroom and it’s anywhere from disrespect to fighting in the classroom, and not doing their school work. Yet, when a child has earned a failing grade, it’s blamed on the teachers, and not the responsibility of the child.
In today’s society to many parents want to be their children’s “best friend”. They pride themelves on being their child’s friend, and give their children anything they child wants. Gone are the days when chidlrend accepted responsbility for their own actions because now, it’s everyone elses fault, and not the childs. Hello!! America what is wrong with this picture? How in the world will today’s children learn to accept responsibility for their own actions if you can’t teach them at home? Oh yes, I forgot…..teachers are supposed to do that too!
I cannot urge the American people enough to wake up and smell the roses. Your children are going to be our future leaders and maybe even President of the United States. How do you expect them to succeed if you cannot teach them to be responsible and well educated in our school systems. Parents, stop giving in to your children by giving them everything they want. Let them earn what they get! Make sure you instill upon them the morals, values, and ethics that you were brought up with in the most positive way you can. There is always plenty of time for parents to be friends with their children but that comes when they become adults. In the mean time, take back your children and teach them the difference between right and wrong. Wake up America! Take back your children!!
