We Live Beside The River, Yet We Use Our Spit to Wash Our Hands

Africa is the most blessed continent and yet her raw materials are not enough to feed her children.

We live beside the river, yet we use our spit to wash our hands.

I have observed that the world get more corrupted by the seconds. In our society today, the good ones are not recognized. There are lots of bad eggs in amongst the good ones. this is not the type of Africa that has been in existence. In the rural areas, people suffer for the fact that there is no savior. Ah! What a pity.

I read that Africa is the most blessed continent and yet her raw materials are not enough to feed her children. The only language our leaders understand is corruption. The only language the subjects understand is bribery. Who will be our savior? Day by day, new things come and the more they are invented, the more corrupted we becomes. Can a man forgo his head for his cap? Around us, there are resources but what can we utilize it on?

According to the books I read corruption started even before Africa became independent. I know of a man he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth went to the best schools ever. This man was well to do. He contested for presidency and won. Can’t this man change things in our society? Can’t he prove ton us that he went to school for the success of his country? What happened next? Because of the dust of corruption blowing everywhere, he joined the chorus, he subdued, he oppressed and he was benevolent to his set of calibers only.

It is time for a good change. Our children has prayed, cried out there eyes implemented some good thought but they all proved abortive.

A country with raw materials and natural resources should not even feel the heat of suffering not to talk of suffering itself.

Who has being born to rescue us? Who has being born to defend our course? Who has being to change the mentality of our leaders? Who would fight the good fight? Everyday, children enter the world. As they grow, they believe that they have to inherit and continue from where there fathers stopped.

In this capitalist state where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, no one knows what else to do. What is beside us seems to be far or useless. But we pray today, that some of our leaders will summon courage, clear the dust of corruption and make our society good for the living not only for the rich but also for the poor. So that our blessings will manifest.
