What is Going On?
by This article is about violence and the many levels it has come to.
I don’t know what’s going on with all this violence today, the question is when is it going to stop? It’s sad, sad when you turn to the news and hear about a family being murdered, a teen being viciously beaten, a teacher being attacked by her student, or some anonymous gunman walking into a building and expressing his anger by shooting people one by one. You rarely hear anything good on the news these days and if you do, it’s for a couple quick seconds then they go into a story about a heart-breaking tradgedy.
What I find very disturbing is that violence never stops, it grows to more frightening levels everyday. You have people who bring harm to someone simply for entertainment purposes. A good example would be teens who confront someone outside a school, or at someone’s home and begin to beat them senseless while they have one of their friends in the background taping them on their cell phone, or digital camera. Oh but that’s not all, after they get done beating that person, then they want to post it for the world to see on their computer, so they can get a couple minutes of fame for being complete savages.
You also have violent people who are so angry over losing a job that they decide to go to the workplace and kill everything in there moving, or go into a restaurant and begin to shoot people one by one. These are individuals who are so filled up with anger that they really don’t care who it is they kill. People like that are more of a fear than anything, especially when you walk into a place to kill someone who has nothing to do with the situation.
What I find to be the saddest thing is when a person is so angry that it comes to the point that they take the lives of their own family members. The family is who you feel most safe with because those are the people who love you more than anyone and if you can’t trust them, then who do you trust? I could’nt believe some of the stories I have heard on the news that have involved family killings, killings that have involved parents turning on their kids, or the kids turning on their parents. I don’t know if it’s the guilt that gets to people and they simply can not help but take it out on the ones they love.
Everybody knows that there are alot of things wrong in this world today and violence is one of them. People have just gotten out of control and when they get mad they want you to feel their madness as well
